Biography
Jazz is a Black and Filipino artist and guinea pig enthusiast. Although she is mostly self-taught, it wasn’t until she took two studio art classes for fun in her final quarter at UC Davis that she realized she wanted to pursue art as a career rather than as a hobby. Jazz love playing with anime and cartoon styles! They love playing with line-width, colors, and positive/negative space. Their inspirations include JC Leyendecker, Francis Manapul, Darwyn Cooke, Natsume Ono, Osamu Tezuka, and Tove Jansson. In their spare time they love to try different foods, learn new fun facts about culture, draw fan art, and develop fun merch for their indie brand.
